2-day Pigout Birthday Celebration

My 2 Day Food Fest Birthday started with dinner in Vikings with Family. My bestfriend Kwai and I were already there at the venue by 5:30pm, atVikings' opening, and we left by 10:30pm at Vikings' closing. Needless to say, by the end of the night, a food coma was inevitable. Gluttony is such a wonderful sin.

First Plate in Vikings: Salmon Sashimi, Veggie Pizza, Stirfried Cucumber, Seaweed, Soy Chicken, Shrimp Tempura and a bunch of Japanese Rolls.

Second Plate: Fried Mantou with Condensed Milk, Calamares, Prosciutto with Pineapple and Melon, Eggplant Tempura and Turkey Wrap.

Third Plate: Clam Chowder.

Fourth Plate: Pineapples and Melons.

Fifth Plate: Pichi-pichi, Putobumbong, Bibingka, Pineapples and Cotton Candy.

Sixth Plate: Shrimp, Seaweed and Stirfried Cucumber.

Seventh Plate: Hotpot.

Eighth Plate: Grilled Squid.

Ninth Plate: Coffee with Orange Candy slices.

Tenth Plate: Yogurt with Crushed Grahams and Corn flakes.

The second day food celebration started in Greenhills' Crystal Jade with 2 orders of their oh-so delicious Xiao Long Pao for Lunch/Merienda.

Dinner was in Sonya's Garden in Tagaytay. I must say that their salad is one of the best ones that I've ever had.

First course: Lettuce and Arugula Salad.

Topping Choices: Cucumber, Egg, Mangoes, Nuts, Langka, Melon, Papaya, and Carrots.

Second Course: Pasta with Topping Choices of Shiitake Mushrooms, Ratatouille, Chicken in White Sauce, Fried Salmon, Pesto and Sundried Tomatoes.

Dessert: Tea, Chocolate Cake, Sweet Potato and Toron.

Six Plates

Finally! Wanted to try this restaurant for the longest time. Here it is, the Buffet 101 experience.
  • ·      Even on a Monday they have a long line for the waiting list of the guests.
  • ·      Amazed by the classy hotel-like architecture/design of the place.
  • ·      For the price of PHP950++, the food experience exceeded way more than my expectations.
  • ·      An array of Chinese, Filipino, American, French, Japanese and Korean cuisines.
Overall, the food was amazing. A five-star luxury dining indeed!

Fancy Shmancy

I'm not much of a writer, but since I was the one who took pictures, I think I'm compelled to write this. Ha. Anyway.

Kath got gift certificates from her ninang last Christmas and treated us at this fancy Italian restaurant located at Nicanor Garcia Street in Makati called L' Incontro. It was a first for us three to dress up and go to a fancy restaurant to have lunch, cause usually we just hang around each other's house and ask Kwai or Kath to cook something off what's in the refrigerator.

So anyway, I googled "L'Incontro" and found out that it means "The Meeting Place". The place looked beautifully simple, cozy, and "sosyal". The staff were polite and really patient too. However, for me, food portion is too little for our appetite. But overall, it was a great experience! :)
